Job description

Why You'll Never Want to Leave
Respect People. Produce Results.
For more than 35 years, we've built a reputation for both the work we do and how we do it.
Respect shows up in how we work together and with our clients. It means trusting people to do their jobs, giving them the space to do it well, and holding each other to a high standard. Because when people are respected, they do better work, work that grows businesses, shapes culture, and builds relationships that last. And just as important, they have the support to build a career and a life worth investing in.
Who You'll Be Collaborating With
Every day, you'll be teaming up with a diverse, enthusiastic, multi-disciplinary team of professionals with a smart sense of humor and a strong desire to grow and develop.
Job Summary
RPA is seeking an Associate Media Director to join our Client Orchestration team, leading integrated media strategy across the (Viking and Resorts World Las Vegas) business. This is a senior, client-facing leadership role for experienced media strategists who already operate with ownership, guiding strategy, investment decisions, and teams with confidence and autonomy.
The Associate Media Director serves as a primary strategic partner to clients and internal leadership, balancing long-term vision with disciplined oversight to deliver measurable business results.
What You'll Be Working On
  • Strategic Media Leadership
    • Own holistic, full-funnel media strategy aligned to client business goals and KPIs
    • Lead annual planning, long-range roadmaps, and cross-channel investment frameworks
    • Push thinking beyond 'the plan' to identify growth opportunities, innovation pilots, and test-and-learn strategies
    • Act as a strategic thought partner to Media Directors, Account leadership, and clients
  • Client Leadership
    • Serve as a senior, day-to-day client lead across major campaigns or initiatives
    • Lead high-stakes client presentations and strategic conversations independently
    • Bring a clear point of view and guide clients through trade-offs and recommendations with confidence
    • Be viewed by clients as a trusted advisor, not just a media executor
  • Execution Oversight
    • Oversee investment health, pacing, and performance across channels and partners
    • Partner closely with Analytics and Investment teams to guide optimization strategy
    • Proactively identify risks and course-correct across budget, timing, or performance
    • Maintain final accountability for accuracy, consistency, and storytelling across deliverables
  • Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Manage and develop a team and strengthen Media Supervisors as independent leaders
    • Set and reinforce a high bar for strategic rigor, client readiness, and executional quality
    • Provide clear direction and feedback without reliance on constant escalation
    • Collaborate across Account, Analytics, Investment, Insights, and Creative teams to drive alignment and momentum

What We're Looking For
  • Current or recent experience operating at the Associate Media Director level (or equivalent)
  • Proven ownership of integrated media strategy across multiple channels and significant investment
  • Experience leading senior client relationships and executive-level conversations
  • Demonstrated people-management experience with Supervisors and Planners
  • Ability to make informed, confident decisions in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
  • Strong media fundamentals, organization, and strategic thinking to fast moving accounts
  • Exhibit proficiency in a range of media-related tools, including Omni, planning tools such as Media Tools, 3rd party research platforms such as Media Radar
  • Ability to remain adaptable and calm while managing change, shifting priorities, and complex accounts
  • Curiosity, emotional intelligence, and a collaborative mindset

Compensation
The salary range for this exempt role is up to $120,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and overall fit for the position. Compensation decisions are made thoughtfully and competitively, with a focus on fairness, internal equity, and market alignment. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for RPA's full benefits package and growth opportunities within the agency.
As an Equal Opportunity Employer, at RPA we hire without consideration to race, religion, creed, color, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status, disability or any other classification protected by Federal, state, or local law.
