Position Summary/Job Duties:
A Culinary Assistant is responsible for preparing food, serving food to customers, working with avariety of culinary equipment such as grills, deep fryers, and ovens, stocking product as needed,operating a cash register, and maintaining dining room sanitation and appearance. We are looking for individuals who love working on a team, have a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong commitment to customer service. During the summer months, culinary assistants assist with dining operations for Conference Service guests.
  • Assist with all phases of food preparation for salads, sandwiches, beverages, entrees, soups, and specialty items.
  • Maintain sanitation standards and portion control per supervisor instructions.
  • Set up serving stations that include utensils, food, dishes, supplies, and condiments.
  • Maintain beverage station dispensers and refill as necessary.
  • Replenish condiments and serving utensils.
  • Complete required reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • In addition, summer employment duties may include the following:
    • Cashiering
    • Dishwashing
    • Cleaning of Service and Dining areas

Qualifications:
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Possibility of pushing and pulling carts weighing approximately 200 lbs.
