Job description

Are you a Community Association Management (CAM) professional who loves developing people as much as managing properties? Capital Property Solutions is looking for a Property Management Trainer to shape the next generation of our management team — from the first interview through years of ongoing growth.
About the Role
As our Property Management Trainer, you'll be the architect of CPS's management standards. You'll own the full talent lifecycle: vetting and hiring new managers, running onboarding and routine training for the team, and leading targeted retraining when managers need extra support. You'll instill our Investor-Owner Mindset in every person you train, so every community we serve gets the attention it deserves.
What You'll Do
  • Partner with leadership to interview and select new manager candidates who fit the CPS culture of responsiveness and transparency
  • Lead hands-on onboarding for new hires — covering Central Ohio regulations, governing documents, and the CPS service model — through a blend of in-person and in-the-field training
  • Make sure every manager is fluent in Vantaca to keep data accurate and boards informed
  • Run structured 30/60/90-day check-ins with new trainees to keep them on track
  • Build monthly deep-dive sessions for veteran managers on topics like capital reserve planning and vendor contract negotiation
  • Spot performance gaps and run targeted retraining to help managers get back on track
  • Train managers to run efficient, high-transparency board meetings
  • Join managers on-site for CPS Standard Inspections, teaching preventative maintenance before small issues become expensive ones
  • Step in to temporarily manage a portfolio during growth spurts or staffing transitions
  • Keep training materials fresh with new ideas in property management and cost-saving strategies
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in property management, with a focus on Community Association Management (CAM); relevant degree or certification preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Vantaca
  • Strong knowledge of CAM practices, industry regulations, and adult education principles
  • Comfort with presentation and training tools (Adobe, Microsoft Apps, Zoom)
  • A knack for mentoring all kinds of personalities — from brand-new hires to seasoned veterans
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • A genuine passion for the Central Ohio region
Why CPS
We don't just “manage” — we provide Principal-based oversight, treating every association asset like it's our own. If you believe in customized solutions over cookie-cutter management, and you want to build training programs that actually stick, we'd love to talk.
