Mascot, Student Worker
Position Description/Requirements
Lincoln Land Community College is currently accepting applications for a student to represent LLCC as the official mascot at college and community events.
Our mascot will be expected to:
  • Represent LLCC and the college's mission and values, in a positive and friendly manner.
  • Wear the mascot costume and perform at pre-scheduled on-campus and off-campus events
  • Personally interact in character with LLCC fans and community members.
  • Assist the Student Life Office with mascot email and social media accounts.
  • Distribute LLCC promotional items designed to increase school spirit.
  • While wearing the LLCC mascot costume, commit to the pre-arranged character and mannerisms of the mascot.
  • Pose for photographs and communicate creatively without speaking.
  • Assist the Student Life Office with costume care, cleaning and maintenance.

All LLCC Student Workers have the following institutional responsibilities:
  • Uphold LLCC's mission, as well as certain standards of conduct within the College and in dealings with students, staff, faculty and the general public.
  • Responsible for compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other regulations with regard to confidentiality of and access to student and other institutional records.

Student workers will be paid $1 above minimum wage and will be scheduled to work up to 20 hours per week with the potential for nights and weekends.
Requirements include the following:
  • Must maintain satisfactory academic progress
  • Must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours) during the semester of employment, with the exception of summer term
  • Complete LLCC's mandatory harassment prevention training within 30 days of employment
  • Must be between 5'6 to 5'10 feet tall and have good cardiovascular health
  • Complete mascot training before being allowed to represent LLCC

Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
