Job description

Classroom Teacher (Summer Position)

This is a seasonal position that entails maintaining a full-time schedule during the 9-week summer program. The right candidate for this position will be responsible for the implementation of coordinated educational, physical, and social activities of a group of children assigned to a classroom. The Classroom Teacher will also ensure a clean and healthy environment and assist with creating an inviting, child-oriented classroom that is developmentally and age appropriate.


For over 65 years, United Rehabilitation Services of Greater Dayton (URS) has provided a comprehensive continuum of services to meet the needs of children, adults, and seniors with developmental and acquired disabilities throughout the Greater Dayton Region.

We have the region’s only fully-inclusive Early Childhood Education Center, serving both typically-developing children and those with special needs. On-site nurses and therapies are available to support the children and adults we serve throughout the day. As a CARF-accredited organization and a Five-Star Gold-Rated program under the Ohio Department of Children & Youth's Step Up to Quality system, URS offers the highest quality of care for children and adults of all abilities.
Our wide array of programs include Adult Day Services, Community Integration, and Infant, Toddler, Preschool & School-Age Youth. We also have an on-site Therapy Center that offers outpatient services in Physical, Occupational, Speech, Aquatic Therapy, and Augmentative Communications. Additionally, we offer community-based Employment Services, including Job Development, Job Coaching, Transition Youth, and Project Search Programs to three counties in Southwest Ohio.
