MRI Pathway Sponsorship Application
 
This position is part of the Talent Pathway Sponsorship Program. To qualify, you'll need to be accepted into the MRI Certification Program through Mass College of Pharmacy and Health Science starting in the Summer of 2026. Radiology Aide Job Description:

  • DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION

    • The Radiology Aide plays a vital support role within the imaging department, assisting technologists with patient preparation, positioning, and exam facilitation. Responsibilities include verifying and managing images in PACS, retrieving prior studies when necessary, transporting patients safely throughout the hospital as requested, and serving as a liaison between modalities and other departments. This position requires strong organizational skills, willingness to learn film library operations, and adherence to hospital policies. Depending on certification, the Radiology Aid may also place IV catheters for contrast administration.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)

    • Education and Training:
      • None
    • License, Certification & Registration:
      • CPR
    • Other Requirements:
      • Keyboard experience (typing, computer)
      • Experience in hospital environment preferred
      • IV skills preferred
      • Medical terminology preferred.
      • Ability to read, write, and speak English
      • Good independent management skills
      • Ability to maintain good interpersonal relations with patients and co-workers
      • High level of flexibility and organization
      • Ability to interact appropriately with community, hospital staff, and physicians
      • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
