Job description

Job Title: WB Team Member

Classification: Non-Exempt

Supervisor: Operating Partner, Assistant Managers, Team Leaders

Managerially Responsible For: N/A


Position Overview (Role):

As a Restaurant Team Member at Whataburger-Vibe Restaurants, you're responsible for ensuring every customer has an amazing experience. This includes preparing hot, fresh products with high-quality ingredients and making sure the restaurant is always clean and family-friendly. You will work closely with Restaurant Managers and other Team Members in a supportive, fun, and fast-paced environment that emphasizes teamwork and positivity.

Essential Job Functions:

 Provide Customer Service

  • Deliver the 3 G’s – Genuine greetings to goodbyes
  • Deliver the 4 P’s – Positive attitude, polite, passionate, proactive
  • Own guest interactions
  • Hospitality driven - Quick, friendly greeting with a smile
  • Use guest’s names when taking orders and handing out orders
  • Face of the brand
  • Provide accurate orders 100% of the time
  • Use suggestive selling to enhance the guest’s meal
  • Perform figure 8 checks to improve guest interactions and follow up

2. Deliver Food Quality

  • Follow all standard operating procedures and recipes
  • Ensure proper station set up for all stations
  • Provide accurate promise times for every order and update regularly
  • Executes speed of service
  • Responsible for self-hygiene and food safety

3. Maintain Shift Cleanliness

  • Use all daily and weekly checklists and leverage technology to complete
  • Clean as you go throughout the shift
  • Focus on dining room and restroom cleanliness
  • Fryer maintenance to be performed daily during the night shift

Accountabilities:

  • Keeps Manager on duty promptly and fully informed of all issues (i.e. problems, unusual matters of significance and positive events) and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action. 
  • Supports a positive working environment with positive actions. 
  • Able to perform all position responsibilities and performance objectives in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures. 
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative working atmosphere, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. With input, support and approval from the manager on duty or Upper Management. Responsibilities include customer service, food preparation, order management, cleaning, stocking, and compliance.
