About the role

McCain Produce Inc. is currently seeking a General Labourer to join our team at the Lansdowne Potato Packing Facility. This facility operates approximately 10 months each year, with a seasonal shutdown during the summer months. As a General Labourer, you will play an important role in maintaining product quality, supporting production operations, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

What you'll be doing
  • Follow all company safety, food safety, and quality requirements.
  • Sort, grade, inspect, and package potatoes according to established standards.
  • Remove rocks, debris, defective products, and foreign material from production lines.
  • Perform material handling duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Assist with product movement and packaging operations throughout the facility.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area through daily housekeeping and sanitation activities.
  • Monitor product quality and report concerns to supervisors.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets.
  • Participate in team meetings and training as required.
  • Assist with equipment operation and report maintenance concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
