About the role.
McCain Foods (Canada) - Carleton Cold Storage has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Labourer in Florenceville-Bristol, NB. This is an entry-level role designed to build employee capability and support progression into advanced warehouse and forklift positions. The successful candidate will be responsible for safe recasing and rework activities, ensuring food safety and product traceability, while cross-training to meet the operational needs of Carleton Cold Storage.
What you'll be doing.
  • Safely perform recasing and rework activities while maintaining food safety and traceability
  • Prioritize personal safety and the safety of coworkers at all times
  • Conduct checks and accurately complete required check sheets and records
  • Ensure bags and cases are properly sealed and coded
  • Perform material handling tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs
  • Support warehouse operations through cross-training, including partial picking and forklift operation
  • Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality in accordance with company guidelines
  • Participate in required training, hands-on testing, and team activities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support Cold Storage operations
What you'll need to be successful.
  • Grade 12 diploma or GED (transcript required)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability and willingness to operate all types of forklifts within Carleton Cold Storage, including Tall Reach lift trucks
  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to work in SAP and WMS environments
  • Strong safety record and commitment to a "safety first" mindset
  • Ability to work well with supervision and warehouse team members
  • Highly motivated, observant, and proactive with a positive attitude
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to work a mix of day and rotating shifts in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment (asset)
  • Knowledge of products and product codes (asset)
