Job description

The Dover-Eyota Public School district is looking for an organized, energetic person to serve the district.

Position:  Custodian 

This position will have a wide range of important responsibilities.  This position will be physically housed in the Dover-Eyota Elementary School but will have responsibilities that span the entire district as needed.

Hours - 40 per week during the school year, 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM.  Some weekend work during winter months.  40 hours per week during the summer months; flexible scheduling is an option during the summer months. 

Benefits: Benefits available per the Teamsters Contract

Salary: Negotiable per the Teamsters Contract

Job Description/Duties:

  • Cleans and maintains assigned school building areas, which includes sweeping, scrubbing, vacuuming, emptying trash, and mopping floors. 
  • Sets up/takes down for special events/athletic events
  • Cleans and prepares the lunch area
  • Participates in summer cleaning, painting of classrooms, or other activities to prepare the buildings for the start of the school year or as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
