Overview

Seeking Summer Youth Program Assistant to join our Lockport Corps

Our Seasonal opportunities offer Sick time

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To assist the youth ministries coordinator in implementing the summer program including day camp, VBS, Carnival, and Camp Long Point.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Youth Ministries Coordinator in running the daily operations summer programing including day camp, vacation bible school, carnival and Long Point Camp preparations.
  • Maintain a safe environment for children and volunteers
  • Instruct children in religious curriculum, sports and recreational activities, crafts, music, games, and other activities
  • Maintain communication with Officers, volunteers, staff, parents and community members encouraging their involvement and feedback on program activities.
  • Maintain daily records including Salvation Army Statistics and SFSP requirements.

Qualifications

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

 

  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • CPR/First Aid Training a plus
  • Good relational skills
  • Must exhibit energy and enthusiasm
  • Must have good listening and communication skills in working with children
