The Opportunity

Williams International has exciting opportunities for Electrical Engineers (Rotational) to join our team at its world headquarters in Pontiac, Michigan. Electrical engineers at Williams International work on the design, development, and manufacturing of electronic products such as digital engine controls, sensor systems, actuator systems, power converters, motor drivers, and communications plus electro-mechanical devices such as motors, generators, solenoids, and wiring harnesses.  This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-tech, cutting-edge products and have a high degree of ownership of your designs.

Electrical engineers at Williams International are responsible for creating electrical schematics, selecting electrical components, performing derating analysis and worst-case circuit analysis, circuit board layout, and performing testing of their designs. Electrical engineers will also work with other engineers on the mechanical design, thermal design, and manufacturing of the electronic assemblies.

This position is a part of the engineering rotation program.  Recent college graduates that enter Williams International’s engineering team can expect to spend up to one year's time in each of three different engineering departments such as electrical design, software design, controls, manufacturing, mechanical design, turbomachinery design, FEA analysis, engine cycle analysis, project engineering, engine test, component test, systems engineering, materials and process engineering, factory automation, product support.  At the end of the rotations, the engineer is placed into a regular assignment within an engineering team that best suits the skills of the individual and the needs of the company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, preferred
  • One to two years of summer intern or co-op experience in an engineering environment is desirable
  • Other beneficial experience includes:
    • Circuit design and analysis
    • Electrical Testing
    • Circuit board layout
    • Software Programming
    • Project Leadership
  • U. S. Citizenship is required
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S.
