As a nonprofit, independent organization, we are committed to fostering a fair and ethical marketplace where businesses and consumers can trust each other. plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of various customer-facing departments, as well as overseeing technology, compliance, marketplace solutions, and accreditation standards review for incoming or current businesses

Position Overview:

As a Finance Intern at the Better Business Bureau of Chicago & Northern IL, you will be immersed in the core financial operations that support our mission of advancing marketplace trust. This role offers hands-on exposure to essential finance processes, allowing you to develop practical skills in revenue management, payment processing, and financial controls. Working closely with experienced professionals, you will contribute to the organization's fiscal integrity and help ensure smooth financial transactions across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Revenue and Payment Operations: Assist in monitoring and recording daily revenue streams, processing incoming payments, and supporting accurate financial documentation.

Accounts Payable Processing and Vendor Support: Participate in the review and processing of accounts payable transactions, collaborate with vendors to resolve inquiries, and help maintain timely payments.

Requirements

Key Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or master's program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business.
