Job description

DESCRIPTION:
Team One CDJR is currently looking for an outgoing and dependable individual to maintain the dealership lot. The Lot Attendant / Porter will move inspect vehicles for damage, move customer vehicles in and around the lot and service areas, ensure vehicles are kept in a clean and damage free manner, and help with cleaning and custodial duties in the shop and lot areas.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, a positive attitude and professional appearance, and great communication skills. Candidates must be willing and able to work in a non-climate controlled environment that includes enduring the heat of summer and the cold of winter and must be able to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles. Experience as a Lot attendant and/or knowledge of automotive servicing and repair is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Keep vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed and in accordance with dealership display standards
  • Moves vehicles to maintain flow of traffic
  • Makes key tags for vehicles
  • Retrieves vehicles for customers when picking up, waiting at the vehicle and thanking customers for their business
  • Helps maintain a clean and safe service area by performing general cleaning duties (trash removal, sweeping, etc.)
  • Follows all safety and security procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience preferred
  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
  • Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
  • Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Basic computer and internet skills
