Job description

Food Programming Assistant will work closely with Food Studies faculty to develop and assist with activities and events for summer and aid in continuity with Bread Oven training and use. Program Assistant will help with summer initiatives, events, and activities, as well as planning and support for future terms. This is a Graduate Student Employment position.
Tasks include:
  • Helping to choose events, workshops, and activities around food studies themes.
  • Support community lunch when needed.
  • Support communications including design and posting on social media and other communications outreach.
  • Organize event support (other student workers, volunteers, staff, faculty) and logistics
  • Schedule events and support a calendar of activities (coordinate with other FSSE, FST, and farm team activities)
  • Help prepare and support other FSSE events and activities.

Students in this position will work at the Eden Hall Campus for the Falk School with some portion of the work being done independently and off site. Knowledge of CANVA, social media platforms, previous hospitality or event management experience a plus. Must have reliable transportation to Eden Hall.
All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time. Additionally, students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year. Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.
Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
