The Internship Program
Our 10-week summer program puts real work of the firm in your hands. You will work alongside brilliant people, gain insights and know-how from our Quanta Academy Summer Term curriculum, and experience what it's like to work at the pinnacle of global, systematic investing.
Learning is the cornerstone of our culture and plays an active role in the internship experience - through daily collaboration and interaction with employees at all levels, in workshops and classes, and most significantly by working on projects that matter to the many clients we serve. Our unique AQR Quanta Academy: Summer Term learning series, a structured program, consists of over 40 hours of educational, skill-building and networking events.
The Team
AQR is looking for exceptionally talented students to join our team as Summer Analysts within the Business Development group. Interns will be placed on one of two teams within the department:
  • U.S. Institutional, whose objective is to identify and develop relationships with prospective investors and strengthen relationships with existing clients and investment consultants.
  • U.S. Wealth, who engages with taxable U.S. investors and their advisors. The team is responsible for education, awareness and managing new and current client relationships for AQR strategies through dedicated coverage to the Family Office community, Registered Investment Advisor community, as well as elite advisors and teams within the major Broker-Dealer segment.

The successful candidate will work alongside senior members of the teams to build upon AQR's presence, with a focus on developing new and maintaining existing relationships with clients in the United States.
Your Role
  • Learn to interact with the world's most sophisticated investors and senior investment management professionals
  • Develop a comprehensive technical knowledge of AQR's full suite of products, the functions and responsibilities of key employees, and the competitive landscape
  • Support senior team members as they determine business strategy including new product development and new business lines
  • Get active exposure to senior leadership of AQR's investment teams
  • Liaise with other members of Business Development to leverage the firm's intellectual capital and customize marketing materials for prospects and existing clients
  • Marshall the full resources of the firm to coordinate responses to investor inquiries

Who You Are
  • December 2027 or Winter/Spring 2028 graduate in Economics, Finance, Business or a Science, Quantitative, or Engineering Program from a top university is preferred. Liberal arts students with appropriate work experience will also be considered
