Job description

Position: Registered Nurse - Lighthouse Residential Treatment

Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager as part of an interdisciplinary team ensuring the provision of safe and high-quality medical and nursing care. The RN through nursing assessments communicates client needs to the medical providers and provides education to help clients meet their treatment goals.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Completes assessments as part of the admission process and throughout the client's stay 
  • Executes orders from the medical providers, including medication administration and assessments, documenting all care in the electronic client record (ECR) 
  • Performs point of care testing, including obtaining urine specimens, and arranges transport to lab as ordered. 
  • Provides individual and family counseling. 
  • Participates in the development and delivery of educational curriculum on medical topics. 
  • Supervises LPNs providing nursing care. 
  • Administers medication as required by protocol. 
  • Responds to crisis calls for assessment and pertinent intervention as needed. 
  • Completes clinical documentation as required. 
  • Ensures client care by providing support to the interdisciplinary team as needed, which includes coordinating care with outside providers and discharge planning. 
  • Abides by all federal and state regulations and accreditation standards in the delivery of nursing care. 
  • Maintains good working relationships with support networks, government resources, and community resources. 
  • Maintains a comfortable, orderly, safe, and clean environment for clients
  • Completes all agency-required training and continuing education required for license. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Required Experience/Certifications: 

  • Valid and current state RN license 
  • Minimum 1 year of behavioral health nursing experience. 
  • Knowledge of psychiatric medications, their indications, common side effects, and common medication interactions.  
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and other applicable standards for clinical practice in assigned area(s). 
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and insurance. 
  • Must pass BCI check, all corporate compliance checks, and employment drug screen.  
  • Must already be credentialed with OH Medicaid 

Desired Experience/Certifications: 

  • Psychiatric or addiction nursing experience preferred. 

Schedule: This is a part time position, 12 hour shifts

Compensation Range: $36.00 - $43.00 DOE
