Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analytics Intern to support the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) team. This internship offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful healthcare operations by assisting with the development of scorecards, dashboards, data visualizations, and performance reporting tools that support workforce safety, environmental compliance, sustainability, and operational excellence.
The intern will work closely with EH&S leadership and operational partners to organize data, analyze trends, and build executive-ready reporting tools using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

- Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of EH&S dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting tools.
- Build executive-ready visualizations and reports using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms.
- Collect, clean, validate, and organize data from multiple sources including spreadsheets, internal databases, surveys, and operational systems.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for EH&S leadership, committees, and regulatory readiness initiatives.
- Analyze trends related to workforce safety, environmental compliance, sustainability, incident reporting, inspections, training completion, and operational performance.
- Create charts, graphs, pivot tables, heatmaps, and summary reports to communicate findings clearly and effectively.
- Assist with automation of recurring reports to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
- Support data quality improvement efforts by identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for standardization.
- Participate in development of scorecards for safety programs, environmental initiatives, sustainability metrics, and compliance performance.
- Prepare presentation materials and data summaries for leadership meetings, committees, and strategic initiatives.
- Respond to ad hoc analytics requests from EH&S leadership and operational partners.
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive organizational data.
- Participate in team meetings and provide recommendations based on data findings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned in support of EH&S operational and strategic priorities.
