Summer Camp Counselor

$12.00-$15.00 per hour

Job Summary: The primary objective of the Summer Camp Counselor is to provide a safe, engaging, and fun environment for youth participants ages 4-10. Counselors will lead and supervise daily camp activities, actively engage with campers, and ensure smooth transitions between scheduled programs throughout the camp day. This position plays a key role in creating a positive camp experience while promoting teamwork, creativity, and respectful behavior.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Supervise and actively engage groups of children in daily camp activities
  • Lead structured games, crafts, sports, and enrichment activities according to the camp itinerary
  • Rotate assigned groups throughout the facility to various activity stations in a timely and organized manner
  • Ride and minor bus riders daily, ensuring camper safety during transportation
  • Maintain constant awareness of camper location and well-being
  • Enforce camp rules and behavior expectations fairly and in a positive manner
  • Follow all safety procedures and emergency protocols
  • Creatively plan and implement additional activities when needed to support camper engagement
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, fellow counselors, and parents
  • Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm

Required Skills and Qualifications:
