Winter Session Student Assistant - Student Service (School Year 2026-27)
Job Summary
The Office of Summer and Winter Sessions is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Purdue undergraduate student to support Winter Session programs, communications, marketing, and student services. This academic-year position provides hands-on experience in program coordination, content creation, outreach, and customer service, with potential opportunities for summer hours.
Roles and Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
    • Assist in coordinating and implementing office-sponsored programs, including event staffing.
    • Draft communications for students and campus partners, including social media posts, website content, newsletter articles, and student messages.
    • Create publications and other promotional materials.
    • Help manage and update web content and social media channels.
    • Benchmark similar programs at other institutions and identify best practices and resources.
    • Serve as a resource for Rand respond professionally to Purdue students interested in Summer and Winter Session opportunities.

Compensation and Hours
    • $11.00/hour (Work-study available)
    • Academic-year position with potential summer hours (May-August)
    • 10-12 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
    • In-person position in Young Hall, 6th Floor, West Lafayette
    • Start date: ASAP

Qualifications
    • Must be actively enrolled at Purdue University and pursuing a bachelor's degree.
    • Must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher and remain in good academic and student conduct standing.
    • Previous experience with programs, projects, social media, communications, or promotional activities is preferred.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Reliable, flexible, and detail-oriented.
    • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, logic, and reasoning skills.
    • Customer service oriented with a positive and professional approach.
