You'll build meaningful relationships that expand educational opportunities, support student success, and help students and their support networks feel welcomed and connected throughout their college journey.
Working collaboratively with colleagues and community partners, you'll develop innovative outreach strategies, strengthen pathways to higher education, and champion equitable access to education for learners of all ages. As a staff member at LLCC, you can look forward to 23 paid holidays a year, including 2 weeks at the end of the calendar year and one week in March for mid-semester break; 12 Fridays off in the summer; and 5 personal days, 12 sick days, and starting with 15 vacation days per year. The person hired into this position will be placed within this range based on education, training, experience, and skills.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree OR extensive, relevant experience OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Experience in recruitment, education, counseling, outreach, or community engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and facilitating presentations, workshops, recruitment or outreach events, and community outreach initiatives.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with schools, community organizations, and external stakeholders.
  • Two to three years experience in higher education recruitment, admissions, student services, K-12 partnerships, community engagement, family engagement, outreach, counseling, public relations or a related field.
  • Experience utilizing a customer relationship management (CRM) system, such as Salesforce, to document outreach activities, manage communications, and evaluate recruitment outcomes.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Illinois community colleges, financial aid processes, career and technical education pathways, dual credit programs, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Training or professional development in family and community engagement, college access and success, Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM), culturally responsive outreach and recruitment practices, student development, public speaking, event planning, project management, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds.
