Across its five Schools, Fisher offers nearly 40 majors in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, business, education, and nursing; 11 pre-professional programs; and master's and doctoral programs in business, nursing, education, pharmacy, and public health. The University's residential campus boasts a robust living and learning community and a successful intercollegiate athletics program. Job Responsibilities
The School of Business seeks an Assistant Professor of Practice in Marketing/Management (non-tenure track) to begin Fall 2026. This position carries a 4-4 teaching load and involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses across multiple modalities (in-person, online, and hybrid). The School prides itself on a highly personalized, high-touch' approach. Faculty are expected to contribute meaningfully across teaching and service while actively engaging with students and the broader Fisher community.
The candidate will have the following responsibilities:
  • Teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses; assess student learning and progress.
  • Advise and mentor students and support recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Adopt new teaching techniques and engage students through interactive methods, experiential learning, and other innovative instructional practices.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of courses, programs, and School initiatives.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, alumni, and the business community to advance the School's mission.
  • Provide service to the Department, School, University, profession, and broader community, and share expertise through professional outlets, such as presentations, articles published in the trade press, and white papers.

Education / Experience
Required Qualifications
  • Proof of permanent right to work in the US on first day of employment.
  • At least a master's degree in marketing, management, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A strong commitment to teaching excellence, student advising and mentoring.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Experiences
  • Terminal degree in marketing, management, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
  • Active engagement with industry and/or professional associations.
  • Professional experience in related fields of business.
  • Experience incorporating data analytics into courses.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with teaching or professional experience in one or more of the following areas: analytics, information technology, supply chain, CRM, sales, branding, social media, digital marketing, promotions, buyer behavior, or services marketing.
