Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will advance implementation science and urban health research with a focus on translating evidence-based interventions into sustainable, real-world practice in diverse and underserved urban populations. Responsibilities include to:

Develop and sustain a funded research program in implementation science and urban health, including areas such as chronic disease prevention, mental health, structural and social determinants of health, and community-based interventions.

Apply and advance implementation science and dissemination frameworks, including pragmatic trials, and strategies to improve adoption, implementation, and sustainability of evidence-based practices.

Advance community-engaged and participatory research, working collaboratively with public health agencies and community-based organizations, particularly within urban contexts.

Collaborate with faculty from public health, computer science, engineering, urban affairs, and related fields to advance SPH initiatives and interdisciplinary research.

Teach four (4) 3-credit hour courses (2 each semester) in areas such as implementation science, social and behavioral sciences, urban health, health disparities, and related fields.

Maintain an active research and publication agenda with peer-reviewed publications and extramural funding.
