Job description

We are looking for candidates who want to gain real-world, hands-on experience, while working towards their educational goals. This opportunity, starting in the summer, will continue through the fall with a flexible schedule to accommodate classes.

Manufacturing Engineering Co-op is an opportunity for an Engineering student to work alongside senior engineers in all areas of operations support. This role will be responsible for individual and team assignments and will work with cross-functional teams to develop the processes, fixtures, and components that help our team build our quality products.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Manufacturing Engineering Projects:
    1. Assist with documentation and implementation of Automation projects.
  • Basic ECO (Engineering Change Orders) tasks:
    1. Print revisions
    2. BOM revisions
    3. Release/Revise of documentation
      • Work Instructions
      • Test Protocols
      • Test Reports
    4. Gemba Actions:
      • Assembly Fit and WI improvements
      • Design, print, & evaluate tools to reduce hand-strain and improve throughput.
      • Assembly tolerance stackups/improvements

Education

2+ years of undergraduate work towards a major in mechanical engineering or related field.

Experience

  • Prior professional internships, relevant Lab or University experience a plus
  • Basic SolidWorks experience a plus

Required Skills

  • Skills in MS Office, Outlook, internet, etc.
  • Clear written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Be able to learn fast and multitask
