Job Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineering student to gain hands on experience in a business environment. This position is responsible for executing tasks assigned by Product Engineers. This person will be expected to work 20-40 hours per week over the summer/school period with the potential to extend beyond the summer period with reduced hours.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

  • Support electrical characterization to support change qualification, yield analysis and failure analysis.
  • Support experiments to study product performance and capabilities, analyze test and characterization data to identify performance issues or show product meets marketing requirements.
  • Support data review and disposition production lots as necessary.
  • Data analysis to assess process capability and yield enhancement opportunities.
  • Development of tools and procedures to enhance efficiency of routine tasks and analysis.
  • Modifying existing software tools
  • Ad hoc scripting
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)

  • Knowledge of Electrical Engineering theories and functions of electrical elements in simple circuit operations
  • Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Quick learner, able to detect problems and react accordingly.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Programming experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of statistics
  • Experiences with lab measurement of electronic components (RF, Digital, Analog), like VNA, oscilloscopes.
  • Basic knowledge of any of the following products: LNA, Switch, PA’s
  • Experience with any programming language included with or similar to the following: VBA or VBScript, C, JSL, MATLAB, Windows Batch or PowerShell, Java, Python.

Education Requirements

  • Current status as student in Sophomore year or later working towards Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Systems Engineering.

 

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

USD 25.63 - 48.60 per hour
