Position Summary

Serves as the first contact for the department.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greets and directs prospective students and visitors; routes telephone calls; and schedules appointments.

  • Coordinates daily activities of the front desk, which includes maintaining key inventory, database maintenance and data entry.

  • Performs word processing tasks, which includes business correspondence, forms, tables, labels, flyers, posters and other office documents.

  • Tracks and files office documents, purchase orders and invoices.

  • Provides back-up coverage for other office staff.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED. Must be successfully enrolled in a degree program.

  • Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours each term (excluding summer)

  • Must be available to work a minimum 20 hours per week (maximum 30 hours per week)

  • Occasional evening hours and weekend hours required

  • Upon earning CNM degree, can remain employed for one additional term after graduating, as long as the above requirements are met

  • This position will support the Student Recruitment and Outreach department with recruiting prospective students to the college. Duties will include attending off-campus events in the community, providing presentations to prospective students, assisting prospective students with the admissions application and onboarding, conducting campus tours, and assisting with special projects. Student ambassadors will be cross-trained to support the different areas of the Enrollment Management and Student Success division on an as-needed basis.
