Dental Assistant - Family Smiles Dental

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
  • Lead and support back-office daily operations to ensure efficiency and flow
  • Train, coach, and mentor dental assistants on clinical protocols and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection control, and safety standards
  • Oversee operatory setup/breakdown and instrument sterilization
  • Take and review diagnostic X-rays as needed
  • Manage clinical supply inventory and ordering within budget guidelines
  • Support schedule flow to maximize productivity and minimize downtime
  • Provide patient education and ensure a high-quality patient experience

Schedule:

  • Monday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Friday: OFF
  • Every Other Saturday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
    • Summer: 1/Sat a month: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Dental Assisting experience required
  • Proficiency with iTero or similar scanners a plus
  • Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software preferred
  • Skilled in making temporaries and assisting in restorative procedures
  • Strong knowledge of sterilization and infection control
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable with reliable transportation
  • Friendly, energetic personality and a true team player
