Seasonal position from May 1st – August 29th
 
SUMMARY: The role of part-time player development coach is to be responsible for delivering energetic and impactful coaching sessions to players across the New England region, while working in a professional environment.
 
Sessions range from development to elite level players. Player ages range from 5-17 years old. Coaches are placed in various programs that will be determined by experience, licenses & geographic location.
 
This posting is open to developing coaches who are looking to grow and improve their own ability or experienced coaches who are looking to improve and become part of a great team. Coaches will be required to participate in paid staff training events and workshops throughout the year and will be provided with an adidas uniform package and coaching equipment.
 
Please note that this position is not for the New England Revolution MLS Next youth teams.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Train and coach various levels of players, ranging from recreational, in-town, and travel sessions
  2. Train and coach in different programs and locations throughout New England
  3. Conduct coach education sessions for volunteer coaches
  4. Plan and run sessions taken from Revolution Academy curriculum and support materials
  5. Communicate to players, volunteer coaches, parents, and other members of the youth soccer communities
  6. Must arrive at sessions a minimum of 15 minutes prior to the start time.
  7. Must be available for a minimum of 6 weeks during the summer season
  8. Weekday sessions run Monday – Friday, with the majority between 8am – 4pm timeframe
  9. Sessions will be based on location and availability and may differ from the above times
  10. Special projects and assignments as business dictates
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities
 
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • USSF Grassroots In-Person coaching license
  • USSF D License preferred
  • Soccer coaching experience with players in the 5-17 age range
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to lead sessions
  • Excellent time keeping and planning
  • Problem solving skills
  • Effective and timely communication skills
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to handle or feel.
  • The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
