Come join our team as a Part-Time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in New Albany, IN!

Currently, we are seeking an RBT available to provide approximately 4-hour after-school sessions during the school year and approximately 6-hour sessions during the summer months. This is a fluctuating part-time position based on client scheduling needs.

Achieve Behavior Alliance Plus, LLC is a mission-driven and expanding organization providing in-home ABA therapy services that make life easier for families by meeting them where they are. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dependable part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide one-on-one services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other intellectual and developmental disabilities in New Albany, Indiana. RBT certification is preferred; however, we are willing to provide BACB training and certification support for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide direct one-on-one ABA therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Implement individualized strategies from the behavior support plan
  • Implement skill acquisition programs
  • Implement behavior reduction programs to decrease problematic behaviors safely and effectively that interfere with learning, social interaction, or daily life
  • Teach communication, social, adaptive, and daily living skills using evidence-based ABA strategies with positive reinforcement and prompting to support success and meaningful behavior change
  • Safely reduce challenging behaviors using approved behavior support techniques and Safety Care procedures
  • Accurately collect and record behavioral and skill acquisition data during each session so the BCBA can adjust the behavior support plan if necessary
  • Complete daily session notes and required documentation for clinical review and Medicaid compliance in the electronic health and medical record (EHR/EMR)
  • Communicate professionally with caregivers, families, BCBAs, and the clinical team regarding client progress, behavior, development, and concerns
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development
  • Assist with assessments and implement feedback under the direction of the supervising BCBA
  • Support clients with adaptive needs, including toileting and personal care, as needed
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and BACB Ethics Code standards
  • Maintain RBT certification requirements, supervision hours, and ongoing professional development units
  • Remain prepared for a BACB RBT certification audit
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards set forth by the BACB in all interactions
  • Monitor and document client progress to ensure data collection is accurate and timely
  • Engage in regular communication with families to provide guidance on reinforcing strategies at home
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients and their families
  • Provide direct care, including tasks related to communication, socialization, academic skills, and daily living activities
Requirements:
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent (Must provide a copy of diploma, GED, or official transcript(s))

Certification and Clinical Requirements

  • RBT Certification from the BACB preferred; required prior to providing services
  • RBT Certification requirements include:
    • Completion of a 40-hour RBT training course
    • Successful completion of the RBT Competency Assessment
    • Submission of RBT certification application
    • Passing the RBT certification examination
    • Maintaining certification through annual BACB recertification requirements
  • CPR and First Aid certification (Adult and Pediatric); required prior to providing services
  • Negative TB test; required prior to providing services

Licensure, Documentation, and Administrative Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Active automobile insurance with appropriate coverage for work-related driving
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI), preferred; required prior to client services
  • Eligibility to enroll as a Medicaid Rendering Provider; required prior to providing services

Qualifications & Expectations

  • Reliable attendance and dependable transportation to client locations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a clinical team
  • Ability to follow behavior plans and implement BCBA feedback
  • Basic technology skills, including use of electronic devices, internet access, and EHR/EMR systems (including payroll/HR platforms and mobile apps)
  • Experience with EVV clock-in/clock-out procedures preferred
  • Familiarity with HIPAA privacy and security standards
  • Ability to maintain secure use of personal and work devices
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental disabilities, or intellectual disabilities preferred
  • Commitment to maintaining RBT certification requirements, including supervision, ongoing training, and BACB compliance
