Job description

Camp Seewackamano is a warm, play-based learning environment dedicated to nurturing creativity, curiosity, and confidence in young children. Our summer camp program blends engaging activities, outdoor adventures, and hands-on learning to make every day memorable! Camp Seewackamano runs 6/29/2026-8/28/2026. Mandatory training dates TBD in June 2026.

Position Overview:
We are looking for motivated and passionate leaders to help guide our staff, support our campers, and ensure a smooth and successful summer program. The ideal candidate loves working with young children, thrives in a fast-paced, fun environment, and brings strong management and communication skills. Leadership team members are essential in setting the tone, maintaining structure, and modeling professionalism throughout the season.

Leadership Positions Available:

  • Health Director-Qualifications and certifications include Physician or Nurse Practitioner or RN or LPN or EMT, First Aid, CPR, RTE

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Camp Leadership the overall leadership of camp operations
  • Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.
  • Create a safe, positive, and engaging environment
  • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play
  • Communicate effectively with families and coworkers
  • Uphold all licensing, health, and safety standards
  • Support daily routines including meals and transitions

Requirements:

  • Qualifications and certifications include Physician or Nurse Practitioner or RN or LPN or EMT, First Aid, CPR, RTE
  • MUST be able to work a minimum of 4 weeks during the camp summer
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong management and communication skills
  • Ability to work outdoors and participate in active play
  • Passionate, reliable, and team-oriented
