Job description

Full-Scope OB/GYN Position | No Night Call | Community-Focused Teaching Role

Our organization is on the lookout for a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible OB/GYN to become a part of our expanding women's health team as a Core Faculty & Research Advisor.

This role provides a unique chance to engage in full-scope OB/GYN practice while contributing to research and academic activities for a new community-based OB/GYN Residency Program, set to commence in Summer 2027.

As a hospital-employed physician, you will be supported by a collaborative generalist OB/GYN team and a dedicated OB/GYN Hospitalist team, which eliminates night call and fosters a sustainable, fulfilling career with significant educational involvement.

The Opportunity

Our physicians benefit from a stable employment model that includes strong administrative support and the flexibility to customize their clinical practice according to their interests.

As a Core Faculty & Scholarly Activity Advisor, you will have protected time to:

  • Work alongside the Program Director to ensure compliance with ACGME requirements for Scholarly Activity.
  • Assist faculty, residents, and students in their scholarly endeavors, including quality improvement, outcomes research, and practical clinical inquiry projects.
  • Collaborate with the Department of Research & Sponsored Studies to oversee project development, execution, and completion.
  • Participate in program operations and compliance through committee work, evaluation processes, faculty development, and recruitment.
  • Teach and mentor OB/GYN residents and medical students in clinical environments, fostering a positive, hands-on learning atmosphere rooted in community practice.
Practice Culture & Collegiality

Our OB/GYN team emphasizes collaboration over competition. Physicians routinely support each other through:

  • Co-management of intricate surgical and obstetric cases.
  • Real-time partner backup and consultation.
  • Shared daytime in-hospital call rotation (NO NIGHT CALL).
  • Physician-led decision-making.
  • A responsive, physician-centered administrative framework.

This practice is built on the principles of mutual respect, physician well-being, and outstanding patient outcomes.

Clinical Scope & Subspecialty Support

All major women's health subspecialties are readily accessible, including:

  • Maternal-Fetal Medicine
  • Gynecologic Oncology
  • Urogynecology
  • Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (with regional partners)

This integrated system facilitates seamless referrals and comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Women's Pavilion & Comprehensive Hospital Resources

In-hospital care is provided at the Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavilion for Women and Children, an eight-story, state-of-the-art facility designed for compassionate, family-centered care, featuring:

  • Comprehensive women's and children's services.
  • Dedicated OB Emergency Department.
  • Dedicated Children's Emergency Department.
  • Level III NICU with 24/7 support from neonatologists and NICU teams.
  • 24/7 OB-dedicated anesthesia.
  • Specialized surgical teams in dedicated Women's OR suites.
  • Da Vinci Xi robotic systems (robotics available but not mandatory).
  • Modern, elegant, patient-centered spaces.
Who Thrives Here / Qualifications

This position is ideal for OB/GYNs who:

  • Are board certified/board eligible through ABMS or AOA and possess a current Florida medical license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Prefer a primarily clinical OB/GYN practice.
  • Enjoy mentoring residents and medical students as part of their daily clinical responsibilities.
  • Value collaboration, stability, and work-life balance.
  • Appreciate a community-based, team-oriented practice model.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes a competitive guaranteed base salary with a productivity bonus, 403B, medical insurance, paid time off, CME allowance, CME days, and malpractice insurance with tail coverage.
