Program Overview

The Technology Summer Analyst Program offers undergraduates the opportunity to join nonโ€‘software development roles within the Application Production Services & Engineering (APS&E) organization โ€” where technology meets realโ€‘world impact. APS&E plays a critical role in keeping the bankโ€™s technology always on, resilient, and secure. We work alongside development and infrastructure teams to design, implement, support, and continuously improve enterprise applications and platforms using modern engineering practices and automation tools.

Our 10โ€‘week Summer Analyst Program is designed to provide you with a unique experience based on your interests, development opportunities and current business needs. Analyst positions support teams that work on the latest technology and emerging technical trends. The program begins with a firmโ€‘wide orientation and induction, followed by meaningful team assignments where Summer Analysts are treated as true associates. You will have access to valuable onโ€‘theโ€‘job support, opportunities to connect with senior leaders and the ability to attend various networking and developmental events. Youโ€™ll take on responsibilities, with clear goals, regular feedback, and a formal review process. Throughout the program, youโ€™ll:

Potential Roles opportunities in Application Production Services & Engineering (APS&E):

  • Production Services Specialist: Provides support to end users by addressing incident and problem management issues across multiple applications, with a primary focus on leading the triage of all businessโ€‘critical incidents. Responsibilities of this role include understanding and ensuring compliance with the Incident Management and Problem Management policies and procedures. This role plays a critical role in enhancing client experience, with full ownership of restoring any disruptions to applications. (Opportunities across various lines of business e.g. Markets, Banking, Corporate Investment Banking, Consumer, Preferred, Small Business, Enterprise Risk & Finance, Employee Experience Technology, Global Information Security, etc.)
  • Technology Operations Specialist: Participates in the planning, development, and implementation of infrastructure solutions involving crossโ€‘functional technical experts to meet specific deployment requirements aligned with available playbooks and technical blueprints. As a technology domain subject matter expert (SME); provide and communicate technology solutions across differing audiences including technical, managerial, and/or vendors. The role will also be engaging with and responsible for new projects, lights on system upgrades, ongoing BAU and advanced support for incidents and problems management.
  • Solutions Engineer: Involves in defining the engineering approach across the endโ€‘toโ€‘end technology stack, coordinate across single or multiple teams to deliver secure engineering design solutions that meet business outcomes and enterprise architecture. Other key responsibilities of this role include creating and ensuring system design technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards. This individual will advocate and advance modern agile solution delivery practices and evangelize great design, engineering, and organizational practices.
  • DevOps Engineer: Accountable for configuring and delivering software delivery automation. Key responsibilities of this role include ensuring that software deployments are configured to meet standards for access, ownership, and authentication. This role ensures release pipelines are well designed and follow Continuous Delivery (CD) best practices. The individual in this role is aware of development, testing practices, software delivery tools and runtime application standards at the bank and ensures they are integrated during implementation.
  • Service Delivery (Project Management): Liaise with crossโ€‘functional infrastructure teams to manage the delivery infrastructure work for various initiatives and projects within Application Production Services (APS). This individual will also remediate, escalate, coordinate, and resolve issues/escalations and prioritize work efforts as needed while ensuring proper TI/Application production Services (APS) initiative funding levels are maintained. In support of key APS/TI strategies, this role is responsible for engaging application teams to ensure awareness, planning and implementation of key TI/APS driven strategies, programs and objectives.
