ACCOUNT CLERK SENIOR (Temporary Non-Regular) - $29.45 per hour
Non-Exempt, 195-Day Temporary Position, up to 40 hours per week. Clickhere to see the job description/class spec document. The intent of this applicant pool is to create a list of qualified applicants who are interested in temporary employment as an Account Clerk Senior at Butte College. Temporary non-regular employment applications are accepted on a continuous basis until the position(s) are filled.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
The Account Clerk Senior is a lead, technical specialist position in the Account Clerk series for the Butte-Glenn Community College District. The Account Clerk Senior supports the daily operations of the Business Services Department and provides accounting and clerical oversight for assigned tasks and processes. As a lead position, the senior will perform a variety of specialized, complex, and highly responsible accounting and bookkeeping duties requiring independent judgement in relation to maintaining the District's financial records.
This position assists Business Services personnel and District purchasers with all aspects of daily business functions necessary to ensure proper compliance and efficient operations. This support may span from account receivables, payables, and related processes to required reporting. Along with a proven clerical background, strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are a must to be successful in this role.
Work Schedule
The tentative work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Over the summer the schedule changes to Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with Friday off.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate degree* in accounting, business, or related discipline; AND
  • Three (3) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the position; OR
  • Any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.
*Associate degree education equivalency is a 1 to 1 equivalency; one year of responsible work experience related to the classification for each full year (24-30 units) of college.
