Qualifications
The (Very Important) Fine Print
Education & Certification
All teachers must hold a Bachelor's degree by the time employment begins.
Candidates must also meet one of the following:
  • A valid MS or TN teaching license with an endorsement in STEM, Computer Science, Technology Education, or a related field.
  • A valid out-of-state teaching license transferable to MS or TN.
  • Enrollment in a state-accredited alternative certification program and successful completion of all required assessments within the last 5 years.

Experience
Highly preferred:
  • Prior teaching experience in STEM, technology, computer science, or robotics.
  • Experience working in low-income communities or with diverse learners.
  • Demonstrated success in improving academic outcomes or driving scholar engagement in STEM.

Placement: Computer Science Teachers will teach foundational coding and robotics courses at the elementary or middle school level.
