A Summa RN (Registered Nurse) is a nursing professional who works within the Summa Health System, a healthcare organization that provides medical services in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings. Summa RNs are responsible for patient care, including assessments, administering medications, coordinating treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare teams. They may work in various specialties such as emergency care, surgery, or intensive care, depending on their training and experience. This role requires an active RN license and often additional certifications based on the specific unit or department.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Summa RN?

To thrive as a Summa RN, you need a solid nursing education (ADN or BSN), an active RN license, and expertise in acute or clinical care. Familiarity with Summa Health's electronic medical record (EMR) systems and relevant certifications such as BLS or ACLS is typically required. Strong interpersonal communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills set top candidates apart in this environment. These competencies are essential for delivering high-quality patient care and effectively collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
