Job Description:
Shift Supervisor (SS) of Subway is responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers with an entrepreneurial, sales-driven spirit for the company. A key priority includes assisting the GM/AM in the daily operation of the restaurant. Under the direction of the GM/AM, this position will also be responsible for maintaining inventories, cash control, restaurant appearance and completing daily paperwork. Candidates should be able to strategically train and develop a productive store team whose primary focus is promoting our brand while offering exceptional customer service. The SS should inspire and encourage teamwork towards successfully achieving sales goals, upholding daily operations and most importantly, create a fun and energized environment!
Customer Service
  • Assures a pleasant shopping experience for all customers, responds to customer complaints and solicits customer feedback and input.
  • Regularly coaches team to provide and maintain a consistent high level of customer service.

Clean, Safe and Secure :
  • Maintains a facility that is consistently "inspection ready" in all areas including food preparation, restrooms and all guest contact areas.
  • Complies and maintains all Department of Health, internal company and brand inspection standards. Follows daily Onvo Safety Inspection/Emergency Response Protocols to quickly recognize and remove potential safety hazards to customers, employees and vendors while operating in a manner that does not put company property and assets at risk.

Food Safety and Planning:
  • Enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
  • Ensures compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws and ordinances.
  • Responsible for establishing consistent high quality of food preparation and service while maintaining a professional restaurant image.
  • Training Assists the GM/AM to ensure that the restaurant has a well-trained staff to meet and exceed operational standards.

Inventory Control:
  • Under the direction of the GM/AM, the SS is responsible for maintaining inventories and store appearance.
  • Treat inventory as if it is cash. All inventory variances researched, discussed and reported to the GM as early as possible.
  • Makes sure all storage areas are clean and products are well organized and labeled with the date received.
  • Labor controls Assists the GM/AM to ensure all shifts are covered and properly staffed. Coordinates daily assignments and activities of associates based on sales.

Cash Controls:
  • Assures proper execution of all cash management activities, including accurate cash handling, credit card processing and safety procedures.
  • Any unexplained cash shortage over $5 must be reported to GM or District Manager (DM), Restaurants.

Operations:
  • Strive to be the best in the Brand!
  • Keep Restaurant in compliance with all Brand standards.
  • Maintain and ensure a safe clean work environment.
  • Pass all internal operations training and paperwork audit.
  • Ensure all brand sponsored inspections are at or above brand standards.
  • Provide superior customer service to all of our guests.
