Key Responsibilities:

Preparing and managing Requests for Proposals/Quotes and coordinating the proposal and selection process including driving implementation of MSA/Contracts.

Managing assigned suppliers/commodities on an on-going basis to ensure that the businesses needs for cost, delivery and quality are met.

Identifying, negotiating with, selecting, contracting and managing the performance of suppliers for designated commodities or areas of spend.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives for project delivery methods, costs and quality.

Team up with engineering and quality to develop second source options where single source positions exposes the supply line to the company

Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders, understanding their needs and consulting with them to build quality procurement strategies aligned to business requirements.

Managing and developing strong relationships with key suppliers, dealing with any potential issues and concerns, and attending regular meetings to ensure open communication.

Develop and drive strategic goals while also completing tactical, working level tasks as required.

Support NPI process with vendor evaluation and site selection

Encourages and coordinates early supplier involvement in new products parts design using the suppliers' expertise to optimize quality and manufacturability

Plan, organize and execute Quarterly Business Reviews

Provide procurement support for other strategic cross functional projects

Ensuring that suppliers operate in full compliance with Mattson policies for supplier conduct on Social Environmental responsibility, Health and Safety policies.

Requirements:

At least 7 years of working in the Semiconductor Equipment Industry

Experience with working with global suppliers

5+ years of direct experience in commodity management

Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, very dynamic environment with a self- starter approach.

Ability to segment and profile supply base to meet cost reduction objectives

Proven success working on cross-functional projects, completing cost models, and negotiating.

Ability to data mine and consolidate results to develop consumption trends, and future usage to generate risk buys, buffer inventories or risk buy recommendations

Proven record in supply base consolidation through the usage of spend aggregation to optimize source usage

Ability to quickly learn the nuances of new commodity or areas of spend e.g.

A quick learner and team player, exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
