Job description

Position: Ground Penetrating Radar Scan Technician
The Ground Penetrating Radar Scan Technician will be responsible for performing non-invasive subsurface studies utilizing advanced GPR technology within the concrete pavement restoration industry.
Responsibilities
  • Operate ground penetrating radar equipment to perform subsurface analysis in various environments such as construction sites, busy roadways, buildings, and near utilities.
  • Collect, process, and interpret GPR data to identify subsurface structures such as pipes, cables, and geological features.
  • Preparation of sites for GPR surveys.
  • Provide clear results, in writing and verbally, to clients, project managers, and other field staff.
  • Follow industry regulations to ensure safe operation of equipment in the field.
  • All work is performed outside in heat, cold, and inclement weather.
  • Standing, Walking, Climbing, stooping, and bending.
  • Periodic lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to all elements of terrains, loud noise, fumes, odors, gases, dust, etc.
  • Work in close proximity to heavy traffic.
  • Strong manual dexterity.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, applicable technical training or certifications.
  • Previous experience and familiarity operating GPR systems desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment when needed.
  • Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented when interpreting radar data and generating reports.
  • 2+ Years Experience in Concrete Ground Penetrating Radar Scanning.
  • OSHA 10 Required, 30 preferred (leadman+ required).
