Position Summary
The Substitute Teacher – Professional provides high-quality instructional supervision and support in the absence of the regular classroom teacher at Central Christian School. This role is designed for individuals holding a bachelor’s degree or higher and may be utilized for short-term, extended, or long-term substitute assignments. Professional Substitute Teachers are expected to maintain instructional continuity, classroom order, and a Christ-centered learning environment in alignment with CCS mission and values.

Core Responsibilities
Instructional Support & Classroom Continuity
  • Deliver lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher or administration
  • Maintain instructional momentum and classroom routines during teacher absences
  • Provide clear directions and academic support to students as appropriate
Classroom Management & Student Supervision
  • Establish and maintain a respectful, safe, and orderly classroom environment
  • Follow school behavior expectations and classroom procedures
  • Report behavioral or safety concerns to the appropriate administrator
Professional Conduct & Compliance
  • Follow all school policies, procedures, and safety protocols
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information
