• Conduct comprehensive assessments to establish baseline issues and treatment goals for individuals seeking assistance with substance use disorders.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, integrating evidence-based practices to address specific patient needs, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions, focusing on building a trusted relationship with patients and utilizing therapeutic techniques to foster motivation for change.

• Lead engaging group therapy sessions designed to enhance peer support, share recovery experiences, and equip participants with coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic patient care, ensuring all treatment aspects are unified.

• Provide crisis intervention support for patients experiencing acute distress or substance-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families regarding addiction, effective recovery strategies, and available community resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential patient records, adhering to all ethical and legal requirements.

• Participate actively in team meetings to discuss patient progress, share insights, and enhance professional development.

• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in substance use disorder treatment to ensure the highest quality of care.

You will work primarily with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, ranging from mild to severe dependencies. Many patients may experience co-occurring mental health issues that enrich your opportunity to deliver holistic care. Your role not only supports their recovery but also involves educating families, helping create a stronger support system for those in treatment.

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Arizona.

• In-depth understanding of substance use disorders, along with familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proven experience in delivering both individual and group counseling services, particularly in addiction treatment settings.

• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively, showing empathy and understanding.

• Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to ethical guidelines as a routine practice.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a proficiency in relevant computer applications.

• A collaborative spirit and willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient success.

While a minimum of one year of relevant experience is required, candidates with additional certifications or specialized training in addiction treatment or trauma-informed care will be highly regarded. Familiarity with local community resources to assist patients post-treatment will also be a significant asset.

We offer a competitive salary range of USD $80,000 to $100,000 annually, along with performance-based bonuses.
