Schedule: MondayFriday, Daytime Only (No Weekends)
Caseload: 1012 clients
Pay: 55K-75K (DOE)
Supervision: On-site clinical supervision available (LPC or LIAC)
About the Role
Recovery Syndicate is seeking a licensed Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our outpatient treatment team in Chandler, AZ. This is a full-time, office-based role with a manageable caseload, strong clinical support, and a focus on high-quality, evidence-based care for individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and diagnose using DSM-5
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual counseling focused on recovery, coping skills, and emotional regulation
- Facilitate group therapy and psychoeducational groups (relapse prevention, recovery skills)
- Utilize evidence-based modalities, including CBT, MI, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness
- Monitor client progress and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team
- Provide crisis intervention and develop safety plans as needed
- Connect clients and families with appropriate community resources
- Adhere to all ethical, legal, and organizational standards
Required License (Arizona): Active or associate-level license in good standing:
- LIAC, LAAC, LACT
- LAC, LPC
- LAMFT, LMFT
- LBSW, LMSW, LISW
Associate-level clinicians welcome. Supervision provided.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a behavioral health field preferred
- Experience treating substance use and co-occurring disorders preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of substance use disorders and ASAM criteria
- Experience with EMRs (KIPU experience a plus)
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)
- Excellent communication skills and sound clinical judgment
- Calm, professional approach during crises
- Culturally responsive and client-centered

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, drive, and use office equipment
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
