Job description


The Substance Abuse Counselor facilitates patients in obtaining the knowledge and tools to complete all aspects of intensive outpatient and continuing care treatment plans and individual goals of treatment. Complete all aspects of the intake assessment process.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Associate's degree required in Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC) specific program.
  • Eligibility for WI license as a Substance Abuse Counselor - In Training (SACIT), Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC) or Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Substance Abuse Counselor specific program.
  • In addition to SAC license, also has WI license in a Professional Counselor (PC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) or Psychologist.
  • Experience as a Treatment Counselor.
