Job description

Under general supervision, the Substance Abuse Specialist will provide direct supervision for substance abuse treatment, group facilitation, pro social and case management support to adolescents participating in opiate addiction treatment (MAT). The Substance Specialist will administer the selected evidence based curriculum and assist in the continuum of care. This position is responsible for facilitating the Youth IOP groups. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college plus one (1) year full-time experience providing substance abuse treatment services. A valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • State or national certification or licensing preferred (this is not required)          
  • Spanish speaking with experience working with the bilingual community (Spanish/English).

Additional Requirements:

Must be 21 years of age (automobile insurance requirement) and possess a valid AZ driver’s license with a “clean” or “acceptable” driving record.
