Job description

The Subsea Operations Engineer will be responsible for supporting the integrity, performance and operational readiness of Subsea Production Systems (SPS). This position will support subsea operations, including ROV campaigns, inspections and intervention activities, while ensuring safe and efficient production. The role will also monitor subsea system performance, ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements, including SGIP, SGSS and SGSO, and interface with offshore teams, contractors and multidisciplinary stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Ensure subsea inspection, maintenance and intervention activities are planned and executed in support of ongoing production, with particular focus on system integrity, reliability and uptime
Plan and coordinate ROV campaigns, including routine inspections, anomaly verification and light intervention scopes, ensuring safe, efficient execution and alignment with operational priorities
Monitor subsea system performance and integrity, identify degradation or anomalies, and develop corrective actions and intervention strategies to maintain production and prevent failures
Review and assess subsea equipment (mechanical, hydraulic and intervention systems) based on operational feedback, identifying weaknesses and implementing lessons learned to improve reliability and field performance
Assess equipment in storage for suitability for redeployment, define refurbishment or repair scopes and ensure readiness of critical spares and intervention assets to support field operations
Support and monitor FPSO / topside integrity at subsea interfaces (corrosion coupons, vent valves, umbilical tubing, etc.), ensuring early identification of integrity threats and maintaining production continuity
Review existing technical documentation (procedures, deviations, risk assessments, inspection reports) to identify gaps or inconsistencies, and develop updated procedures, scopes of work and risk mitigations to ensure safe continuation of operations
Contribute to and maintain compliance with company governance and regulatory frameworks, including SGIP, SGSS and SGSO, ensuring inspection records, integrity data and operational reporting are accurate and up to date
Monitor contractor performance during ROV and subsea operations, ensuring technical delivery, operational efficiency and full HSE compliance
Maintain and manage subsea tooling and intervention equipment, ensuring proper tracking, maintenance and readiness for deployment
