Southfield Village is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing to provide clinical leadership for our Health Care services. In this role, you will guide nursing operations, support a talented clinical leadership team, and help ensure our residents receive safe, consistent, and person-centered care.

Schedule

Full-time, exempt leadership position

Typically requires 40โ€“50 hours per week

Scheduled weekend leadership coverage

Participation in an on-call rotation may be required

As Director of Nursing, you will:

Provide leadership and oversight for Health Care clinical services

Lead and support the MDS Coordinator, Assistant Director of Nursing, Scheduling Coordinator, and Central Supply/Medical Records Coordinator

Build a collaborative, accountable, and supportive nursing team

Oversee the hiring, development, performance, and discipline of nursing team members

Monitor staffing and absenteeism to help maintain appropriate nursing coverage

Review clinical quality indicators and implement appropriate follow-up and corrective actions

Lead quality improvement efforts, including Performance Improvement Plans

Review daily clinical reports, incidents, and accidents and ensure timely follow-up

Lead the Clinical Management Team and represent clinical needs and concerns to administration

Attend care plan meetings and partner with residents and families in developing appropriate plans of care

Address resident and family concerns with compassion, professionalism, and timely follow-through

Assist with Medicare eligibility determinations and the admission process

Ensure nursing licenses and CNA credentials are properly verified

Support compliance with state and federal regulations, including required reporting

Assist with the development and management of the nursing departmentโ€™s operational and capital budgets

Identify opportunities to improve clinical processes, resident outcomes, and the team member experience

What Youโ€™ll Bring

Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Indiana

At least three years of supervisory experience

At least one year of management experience

Five years of geriatric nursing experience preferred

Practical knowledge and understanding of MDS

Experience completing resident assessments and working with care plans

Strong leadership, decision-making, organizational, and multitasking skills

Clear and professional written and verbal communication

A compassionate and respectful approach to residents, families, and team members
