Job description

The Subrogation Representative is responsible for analyzing and conducting investigation of all assigned files for recovery and resolution of subrogation claims utilizing effective negotiation skills of liability and damage disputes.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:15AM- 4:30PM (Hours can vary depending on start time). This position requires you to work out of our West Trenton, NJ office. This role is hybrid working 3 days in office and 2 days from home once training is completed.

Salary: The level and salary is commensurate with direct experience and credentials.

  • Level I - $51,120 - $59,331 annually based on experience

  • Level II - $58,737 - $74,031 annually based on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process subrogation claims, seeking recoveries from adverse parties and/or their insurance carriers.
  • Thoroughly review, evaluate and investigate subrogation claims to obtain necessary information for prompt resolution.
  • Negotiate subrogation claims and resolve liability and/or damage disputes for successful recoveries. Efficiently credit recovery checks and issue deductible payments to our insured.
  • Professionally respond and communicate on all subrogation related issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our policyholders.
  • Claims are settled and negotiated based on company guidelines and applicable state negligence laws.
  • Comply with department procedures and metrics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or customer service experience in a professional setting is required.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Requires strong oral and written communication skills
  • Technical aptitude, including working knowledge with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Must be detail oriented, organized and possess strong time management skills
  • Multi-tasking, problem-solving and strong decision-making skills.
  • Ability to think critically, use resources and seek answers
  • Ability to work remotely with excellent time management, self-discipline, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • License to adjust claims in Texas or Connecticut is a plus
  • Knowledge of Claims or Personal Lines are a plus

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.

Pay Range: $51,121-$59,332
