Hupy and Abraham S.C., a personal injury law firm headquartered in Milwaukee, WI, is looking for a motivated Legal Assistant for our Madison, WI office. We are willing to train the right candidate, so those without prior law firm experience may apply.

Our Legal Assistants are responsible for opening new files and working with them until settlement. Functioning within a team-based approach, our Legal Assistants collaboratively manage each aspect of the file, with specific roles assigned to different needs of the case.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide exceptional customer service to firm clients while updating them on claim status & obtaining medical status updates.
  • Lead communication with firm clients ensuring all questions & concerns are addressed & medical/injury information is kept updated.
  • Maintain & update the firm’s client management software system

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated superior customer service and administrative skills
  • Innovative problem resolution
  • Strong team collaboration skills with the ability to integrate and contribute to group efforts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal team members and clients
  • Computer experience should include basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel. Legal software(s) (Filevine, Clio, Trialworks, etc.) preferred
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Background in account or case management, medical billing and coding, patient health records, release of information compliance, subrogation or in a law firm preferred
