As a Disbursement Assistant at The Jeffcoat Firm, you will support the Disbursement team by managing essential, process-driven responsibilities that help cases move efficiently through the settlement and payment phase. This entry-level role reports to the Disbursement Manager and works closely with Disbursement Coordinators to reduce administrative bottlenecks and improve turnaround times.
What you'll be doing:
• Prepare and send Letters of Representation to appropriate subrogation entities at case opening
• Document confirmations and lien acknowledgments within the firm's case management system
• Prepare and process provider payment documentation in accordance with firm standards and timelines
• Assist with provider balance verifications related to medical billing
• Track verification activity and maintain updated documentation within the case management system
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping and adherence to established workflows and compliance procedures
Requirements
  • High School diploma required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
