LiquiForce Services provides trenchless pipe rehabilitation solutions and technology to the municipal water, wastewater, and storm water markets. LiquiForce is a 30-year player in the market with a broad range of trenchless technologies and services operating in a market that is increasingly adopting trenchless solution for is cost, time, and environmental efficiencies.


Overview

We are currently looking for a dynamic Project Manager for our Calgary operations. Our ideal candidate is a team player with strong financial acumen, contract management, financial project forecasting, production planning and excellent client relations. Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Excel is also a requirement.


Role

Responsible for planning and overseeing the construction phase of assigned projects from beginning to end, the Project’s Manager’s primary objective is to coordinate with and support the project team, both internal and external, and monitor and record project progress.

The Project Manager must ensure efficient planning and scheduling of personnel, equipment, and materials to safely complete projects within budget and with a high level of customer satisfaction.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with engineers, owners, inspectors, subcontractors, internal Team Members, and all relevant project parties
  • Understand project specifications and contractual obligations, negotiating changes/additions/revisions and claims as applicable
  • Attend internal hand off meetings, pre-construction meetings, and project progress meetings
  • Understand and manage the provided pricing estimate/proposal and job setup
  • Participate in and contribute to project planning activities prior to construction start
  • Ensure project submittals (both internal and external) are complete, approved, and submitted in a timely manner
  • Ensure all pre-construction work is complete in advance of the start of work
  • Prepare and communicate overarching Project schedules for both internal and external crews
  • Plan and accurately track all subcontractor work, ensuring subcontractor agreements are in place prior to commencement of work and billings are received in a timely manner
  • Accurately track, manage, and forecast project revenue and costs
  • Complete and submit project quantities and pay applications in a timely manner
  • Monitor and communicate performance metrics
  • Act in the company’s best interests and actively seek ways to improve the bottom line while maintaining quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
  • Perform Monthly Safety Inspections
  • Review pre-construction site information and complete condition assessment with recommendations as required
  • Complete quality review of subcontractor deliverables
  • Weekly collection, review, and storage of project deliverables
  • Perform pre-bid site visits to identify threats and opportunities as needed
  • Work with RVP and Operations Manager to develop strategic and professional relationships
