Job description

Job Overview:
  • Responsible for managing subcontract lifecycle activities including sourcing, negotiation, execution, compliance, and performance management while ensuring alignment with safety, cost, schedule, quality, and contractual requirements.

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 3โ€“5+ years of subcontracting or project management experience.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data, assess risks, and implement solutions.
  • Experience working in matrixed environments with cross-functional teams and subcontractors.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and make timely decisions within delegated authority.

Experience:

  • Experience supporting subcontract lifecycle activities including sourcing, negotiations, and execution.
  • Experience in pre-award activities such as bidder prequalification and RFP support.
  • Experience preparing bid evaluation summaries and supporting commercial negotiations.
  • Experience managing post-award subcontract execution and compliance activities.
  • Experience handling subcontractor performance management and issue resolution.
  • Experience supporting audits and compliance reviews.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement and lessons learned initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Supply Chain Management to develop and maintain effective subcontractor relationships.
  • Support competitive sourcing, subcontract reviews, negotiations, and execution planning.
  • Own subcontracting strategy, standards, governance, and functional leadership activities.
  • Lead prequalification of bidders and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Support development of bid packages and evaluation of subcontractor proposals.
  • Conduct commercial negotiations and prepare bid evaluation summaries.
  • Integrate subcontracting strategies into project execution plans.
  • Ensure subcontract documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with prime contract requirements.
  • Coordinate subcontracted work alignment with project schedules and client requirements.
  • Participate in project kickoff meetings, status reviews, and cross-functional discussions.
  • Lead subcontractor issue resolution, dispute management, and risk mitigation activities.
  • Identify and communicate cost, schedule, and performance risks proactively.
  • Evaluate subcontractor performance and implement mitigation strategies when required.
  • Support internal and external audits related to subcontract administration and compliance.
  • Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
